Brownfemipower points to a video of “Jon Justice” being downright slimy and nasty about Isabel Garcia:
Isabel Garcia recently pissed off local nativists because of the work she is doing. I am purposefully not going into any detail about the work she does, because I don’t want anybody to think that this clip is vile and disgusting because the woman does amazing work. I want people to see this for what it is–a white man feeling like he can control, humiliate, and imply sexual violence against a brown woman–all while be recorded for public broadcast. It’s about a white man controlling a woman who pissed him off, by mocking her race, by implying sexual control over her through the use of racist imagery and language.
She is being attacked, mocked, ridiculed, and sexually humiliated because she is brown and she is a woman.

The video is utterly disgusting. It almost made me vomit. Yeah, I know it might be deemed protected speech and all, but it’s also *hate speech* and needs to be labeled as such. What a despicable individual he is, really. I wrote a letter and will make the phone calls per BFP’s links. I hope we can get all of these companies to withdraw. And, frankly, I’d also like to see this fuckstain’s career destroyed.

I haven’t watched the video. The pictures at Nezua’s made me feel ill enough – and the sheer disgustingness comes through in stills.

I think it’s “protected” in that he has the right to not go to jail or be blacklisted from other jobs over it, but there’s nothing in the Bill of Rights guaranteeing him a platform as a high-profile DJ at that particular station either. Specifically, for advertisers to keep supporting the station if they fear losing money over it. Hey, it’s the Amurrican Way.
