Thank you for the links, I think that maybe, if more people blog about the day of rememberance whether T or not, people will remember that inhuman behavoir toward anyone is…..a bad thing? I dunno, do you think only those with T histories or family members should post about it? I would be interested to know your feelings?

I think that anyone can and should post about this. The ultimate consequence of the bigotry trans people suffer is violent crime, and the ultimate consequence of that is murder. Since the most common victims are poor women of color, this cuts across multiple communities - it’s not just a trans thing, it’s also a race thing. It’s also a homophobia thing. It’s also a misogyny thing.
People really should understand that disdain and hatred for people not like them reinforces the idea that it’s okay to demean, hurt, and kill those people. I would love it if everyone posted about TDOR, and expressed outrage. I would love it more if they fought this kind of thing, made it unwelcome.

Well, I took your comments particularly the last paragraph and tried to make it the theme of the post, a post which quite honestly, should probably have your name on it as co-author because if it hadn’t been for this site and your posts on the issue and the posts reminding people (aka me) that the day of rememberance was coming up then there wouldn’t have been a post. Thanks.

Inspiration isn’t coauthoring, but I am flattered you were inspired. Thank you again for writing that post.
